Hi, I'm Katie!

Mum of two, personal trainer, and the founder of Strong Starts. Movement has always been a huge part of my life — you'll often find me lifting weights at my CrossFit gym, my happy place where I feel strongest and most like myself.

My story

From my own motherhood journey to yours

My passion for supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum grew through my own motherhood journey. During my first pregnancy I realised how little guidance there was around exercising safely while still feeling strong and capable. That experience led me to further my education so I could help other women move through pregnancy with confidence, prepare their bodies for labour, and return to exercise safely after birth.

Through Strong Starts, I support women to stay active during pregnancy, prepare for an empowering birth, and rebuild strength in postpartum — so they can feel confident in their bodies throughout their motherhood journey.

  • MamasteFit Certified Pre & Postnatal Trainer
  • Certificate III & IV in Fitness
  • Childbirth Educator
  • Ongoing professional development in pregnancy, postpartum & pelvic health
